World Poetry Day; Plastic

It's World Poetry Day.
And the news today is that plastic in the oceans is set to treble in the next  10 years.
I wrote this about 15 years ago:

DROP

trembling in the gutter
a bougainvillea blossom

lies by a castoff yoghourt pot

if I fell off a cliff
there would be plastic by my corpse
